Spring Season 2012

The Bloomington Junior League Baseball Association (BJLBA) in conjunction with the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce its baseball registration for players (ages 5 through 16) who are either new to our community or did not play in 2011 in either of the BJLBA regular season programs [i.e., Cal Ripken Division (ages 5-12) or Babe Ruth Division (ages 13-16)].

The majority of games are played at the Winslow Sports Complex, just south of the YMCA on Highland Avenue. In addition, any parent of a child who has “special needs” and would like their child to participate in our BUDDY BALL baseball program for special needs children can also register their child at this time.

The 2012 registration will be held Monday through Wednesday, February 27th to February 29 at the St. Marks United Methodist Church. St. Marks is located at 100 N. State Road 46. Registration times for all three days are: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Parents, please bring a copy of the child's birth certificate.

The cost for the BJLBA programs are:
Cal Ripken Division - $65
Babe Ruth Division - $85
Buddy Ball - $15.
Fee waivers are available, if needed.

In addition, adults interested in managing one of our teams at the Novice (5/6), Junior (7/8), or Minor (9/10) league levels, can request an application here.

Concession and Officer on Duty Schedule

Each team must supply workers for the concession stand on the appropriate date's assigned by the officers. Six workers must be available at all times. Failure to provide the necessary workers shall result in the forfeiture of the following scheduled game.

Coaching Evaluations

Dear Parents: In an effort to improve our BJLBA program, we ask that you complete the following questionnaire. We understand a coach is very influential in the development of our children on and off the field. Therefore, this questionnaire is vital in our evaluation of the coaches for the future.
